Florida National University’s Job Placement Department has been hosting Job Fairs for some time now. While the concept of the event isn’t new, the formatting is constantly being tweaked to make each version better than the last. However, this year’s Spring installment of the bi-annual event felt different. The change of scenery to the Dr. Jose Regueiro Building, as expected, proved to be an absolute gamechanger.
After the event, Hernan “Fred” Gutierrez, Job Placement Officer, couldn’t hold back the joy: “There was an amazing energy in the room. A lot of great conversations and relationships were being built between the employers and our community. Our staff worked hard to put this event together, so it’s awesome to see all that work come to life.”
A total of 37 employers attended the Job Fair with many different sectors of the workforce being represented. The event took place on the 6th floor of the building, which officially opened its doors this week and marked the beginning of a new era for FNU.
