Time to celebrate the 2022 Women’s Softball USCAA National Championship!

For the second consecutive year, Florida National University’s (FNU) Conquistadors Women’s Softball team takes home the USCAA Softball National Champions title!

The ladies Conquistadors scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth, and rode the amazing pitching of Gabryella Hay as they repeated as USCAA National Champions with a 4-3 win over D’Youville College on Thursday afternoon.

Ryan Raposo, FNU Athletic Director, said “The entire FNU family is extremely proud of the continuous success of our softball student-athletes and their second consecutive USCAA National Championship! We are blessed to have head coach John Pryor and his coaches on staff as they have developed a strong team culture which focuses on hard work and determination. They are all-around winners!”

In celebration of FNU’s Women’s Softball Team winning the USCAA National Championship, we’re inviting you to please join us to celebrate our champs on Thursday, May 19th, 2022, at FNU’s Hialeah Campus, JR Building 6th Floor Dining Hall at 1:00 pm!

Much deserved and earned congratulations to Coach John Pryor, his staff, and all FNU’s softball student-athletes! They swept the tournament with four straight victories to get the win and bring the victory home!

“This team is braver than they think, more talented than they know, and capable of more than anyone could imagine,” said Coach Pryor.

Commendable and historically, this marks the third back-to-back USCAA National Championships in FNU history, following Men’s Soccer in 2017 & 2018, and Women’s Volleyball in 2018 & 2019.
