Medical Coding and Billing

This seminar Presents the organization and development of nomenclatures and classification systems in medical coding, and the basic of health insurance. The use of the international classification of diseases (ICD-9-CM) and current procedural terminology (CPT-4) coding is emphasized. In this course are pointed out the billing requirements for most of the Insurance companies. The students learn the various type of health insurance and how to process claims.
