DeLand, Fla. (Feb. 4, 2023) – In Florida National Univesity’s men’s tennis opening season exhibition match, the Conquistadors put together a strong performance on the courts of Mandy Stoll Tennis Center. Florida National remains 0-0 on the season despite losing to the Stetson University Hatters, 4-0.
In doubles play, the Hatters earned the opening point as FNU’s Jerry Makela and Hamish Lee and Umberto Particelli and Guido Gentile lost their matches to Stetson pairs Marc Saura and Lucas Olivier (2-6) and Alexandre Hillhouse and Sami Ozzor (3-6).
FNU was unable to grab a win in singles play and had three matches remain unfinished by the end of the afternoon.
