This past weekend starting on Friday was senior night at Florida National University (FNU). The seniors were honored at halftime as FNU men’s basketball team what’s that the apprentice school out of Newport News Virginia a team they lost to in the MLK classic. At half time the conquistadors were trailing 30to 34. By the time the second half of the game had started the Conquistadors ran off 20 unanswered points. Later in the second half the Conquistadors would hold the apprentice school to under 70 points in the game as the Conquistadors would win the game with a score of 89 to 66. It Was a huge win for FNU and your men’s basketball team after losing to the apprentice school in the MLK classic.
The VVV classic would continue on Sunday morning at 9 AM. When the Florida National University men’s basketball team would take on Concordia College out of Alabama. This was a team that was ranked number three in the country and also a team that Florida national University has never beaten in school history. That would all change as time expired in the second half of the game and your Conquistadors came away with a 60 to 56 victory over Concordia College of Alabama.
Senior night: these young men were honored for being seniors on the men’s basketball team and graduating at the end of the year with their bachelor’s degree from Florida National University.
