Others may want to use it as a tool to progress further in their current profession. Whatever stage you are in your career, an MBA will serve as a reliable and prestigious credential providing you with more professional opportunities.
Before you start looking for the right university to earn your MBA, here are a few things you need to know:
-
It’s Possible to Complete Your Degree in One Year!
The problem that most professionals who don’t have their MBA run into is finding the time to commit to a full master’s degree program. The MBA program offered at Florida National University (FNU) can be completed in 12 months, but it can take up to 14-16 months depending on the required preparatory courses needed for each student.
The amount of time that a student can commit will also determine how quickly he or she can complete the degree program. Most of our MBA enrollees are non-traditional students. This usually means that they either holding full-time jobs or have other commitments. Our educational institution accommodates for this by providing evening courses at our main campus in Hialeah from 6 to 9PM. Students can also attend these classes “virtually” or enroll as a Distance Learning Student.
-
Take Online and Traditional Classes
FNU also has online courses for the busy professional who is able to adjust their personal schedule around classes. FNU’s online MBA degree program provides students with the same quality curriculum as our traditional classroom settings. The only difference is that YOU set your own schedule rather than submitting to the schedule provided by the university. This requires a disciplined commitment level of dedication and organization, as the syllabus is already set before you. All you have to do is execute within a set period of time.
The online option seems to be quite favorable with busy professionals today because of such a rigorous schedule, especially living in the highly-populated South Florida area. Taking virtual online classes would just be easier and much more practical. However, many FNU MBA students appreciate the experience of a traditional classroom setting.
With a traditional classroom setting, you will be in the company of your peers, having the convenience of comparing notes and helping one another. You will also experience FNU’s campus culture and get to know your professors on a better level—more personal than exchanging messages online. Even if the online option is virtual, a traditional classroom setting allows you to personally socialize with FNU faculty, staff, administers and fellow students. This will undoubtedly give you a better appreciation for your university, making you proud to be a Conquistador!

Being able to write your name and include “M.B.A.” opens doors! With an MBA, you’re more likely to be considered for a job position over someone who doesn’t have a masters. Employers value MBA candidates because they know that they’ve been trained to develop priceless management skills to build a well-organized leadership that will help their company thrive. An MBA tells employers that you have the capabilities to understand internal management, marketing, corporate law, managerial finance and more.

Earn Your MBA Slowly by Taking Micro Masters Courses
FNU Micro Masters courses are the perfect solution for professionals who desire to earn their MBA degree, but don’t have the time to commit to a full-time MBA degree program. Micro Master’s programs allow students to earn their “micro-MBA” by committing to a concentration of their choice. They’ll only need to complete 12 credit hours of master level courses in the following disciplines:
The credits earned from these courses are transferrable to FNU’s MBA degree program anytime within 5 years of earning the certificate.
You can expect to achieve the same academic excellence in all 6 of these concentrations. The quality of education within each of these curriculums remains as strong as a full master’s degree program.

FNU is Fully Accredited
