HIALEAH, Fla. ( Nov. 10, 2022) – Florida National University’s men’s soccer standout Ricardo Delwing hit the ground running in his first year for the Conquistadors, using his stellar athletic ability to push past competitors this season. His high-flying and tenacious defense earned him the Continental Athletic Conference Newcomer of the year award and a spot on the coveted All-Conference first team.
The Estrela, Brazil, native has played a major role on FNU’s back line using his tower height and quick reflexes to stomp out any opposing attackers. His ability to read the game had helped the Conquistadors land a 9-1-3 record including two shutout ties to top-10-ranked St. Thomas University. Delwing has scored three goals and one assist this season and continues to be a major factor in FNU’s projected success this postseason.
