MONTGOMERY, Ala. (April 14, 2023) – Florida National University’s men’s tennis team overcame another loss in doubles play for a thrilling 4-3 win over Southern States Athletic Conference foe Blue Mountain Christian College Friday. This is the first victory for FNU at the Montgomery SSAC Round-Up and improves its season record to 4-7. The Toppers drop to 5-8 on the year and 0-4 in SSAC play.
Losses from doubles partners Jan Oppermann and Sebastian Fujita as well as Luigi Stefanacci and David De Ayguavives gave BMC a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
Four roaring victories from FNU’s Guido Gentile, Umberto Particelli, De Ayguavives and Stefanacci got the job done in Alabama.
