Your Florida National University Women’s Volleyball team is Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Champions. The lady conquistadors defeated Florida College in the Championship match 3-1 from Nevada, Missouri.
Your conquistadors went 2-1, on the opening day of the CAC Tournament winning against Florida College 3-2, falling to Lincoln Christian College 3-0, & defeating host school Cottey College 3-0 to end group play. The next match would be the CAC Semi-final against host school Cottey college a 3-1 win to secure their place in the CAC Championship.
Championship match:
In the championship match, FNU’s Joanne Dania was an offensive machine, totaling 17 kills in the victory. Ariana Long added 14 kills while Maria Alejandra Liva (25 assists and 10 digs) and Gabriela Hernandez (24 assists and 15 digs) contributed to the offensive attack and defensive role.
With this win, your conquistadors have now qualified for the NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship Opening Round. The lady conquistadors will face the Flames of the College of Saint Mary (Nebraska) on November 20, 2021.
