MOBILE, Ala. (March 30, 2023) – Water and cheer spilled over Florida National tennis star David De Ayguavives, as he secured a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 win versus Mobile University’s Luis Perez for a 4-3 Conquistador win. This marks the second win for FNU in its last three matches and the first win at the Southern States Athletic Conference Round-Up in Mobile, Ala.
In doubles play, FNU secured the first point of the morning with encouraging victories from duos Jan Oppermann and Sebastian Fujita and Luigi Stefanacci and David De Ayguavives. Along with De Ayguavives’ win in singles play, Umberto Particelli got a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Mobile’s Alex Verdu. A solid 7-5, 6-3 win from Stefanacci contributed to a stunning 4-3 Conquistador win.
