Babson Park, Florida — The Florida National University baseball splits doubleheader against NAIA National ranked #16 Webber International University. After lose the first game of the series on Friday night, the Conquistadors won game one (11-4) and lost game two (3-2) of Saturday’s doubleheader. The contest was played at the heart of Florida Field, Babson Park, Florida, home of the Warriors. With the results, the Conquistadors improve to 1-4 while the Warriors improve to 6-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader, Webber actually led 3-1 after three innings after a solo home run followed by a two-run home run to left field both at the bottom of the third inning.
- However, FNU responded with seven runs over the next two innings and outscored Webber 10-1 over the next four innings in total to take control.
- One of the highlights during the stretch of runs for FNU was a grand slam by catcher Stephan Perez-Collazo at the top of the fifth inning.
- A home run by the Warriors in the bottom of the sixth inning represented the final run of the game for Webber as all four of the Warriors’ runs in the contest crossed home plate thanks to the long ball.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Webber first lead came in the bottom of the third inning as the Warriors singled up the middle with two outs, stole second base and then scored on a single to make it 1-0.
- After a leadoff solo home run for Florida National in the top of the fourth inning, the Warriors then made it 2-1 in the bottom half of the inning.
- Webber actually led twice by one run during the series finale before finally winning it in 10 innings.

Florida National University Baseball team will now face Florida Memorial on Tuesday, February 11th. The contest will take place in Miami Gardens, FL.
