HIALEAH, FL – Florida National University Men’s Soccer and Women’s Volleyball team continues to sit on top of the USCAA Coaches Poll Rankings – Week 1, released Thursday, September 26th, maintaining its No. 1 ranking since last year where both Conquistadors teams earned a USCAA National Championship.
Men’s Soccer – The Conquistadors stayed on top of the latest coaches’ poll after being undefeated in the last 5 games, pushing the team’s record to 8-2-1 on the season. Through the opening month of the season, Florida National owns a 2-1 record against teams currently ranked in the NAIA top 25 coaches’ poll. The Conquistadors topped NAIA #9 Baker University, 3-2, back on September 2nd.
Florida National University Men’s Soccer team played NAIA #13 St. Thomas University where the conquistadors feel short 2-1. FNU also played #20 LSU Shreveport where the Conquistadors defeated the Pilots 2-0.
Next up for the Conquistadors men’s soccer team is a game in US Virgin Islands, against University of the Virgin Islands The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m kick-off.

Women’s Volleyball – Florida National University Women’s Volleyball team captured the No. 1 spot in the first regular season edition of the 2019 USCAA Coaches Poll Rankings – Week 1, the national office announced on Thursday September 26th.

Lady Conquistadors has a 8-7 record this season where the team conquer important wins against Pensacola Christian College, Columbia International University, Edward Waters College and Johnson & Wales University.
FNU Women’s Volleyball Team also earned the USCAA TIP-OFF CHAMPIONSHIP. The tournament was played in Penn State and he Conquistadors started out the tournament strong, sweeping Penn State University Dubois in three sets and taking down Kent State Tuscarawas University, 3-0. FNU also defeated Carlow University 3-1 and University of Cincinnati Clermont 3-0
Next up for the Conquistadors Women’s Volleyball team is a a home game against St. Thomas University on Friday September 27th. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m start.
