Miami, Fla. – St. Thomas University defeats Florida National University on the road.
Game One – STU 3, FNU 0
In the bottom of the 3rd, D. McDade doubles to bring home two runners for a 2-0 lead. D. Bautista doubles in the bottom of the 5th to have Negron score and conclude the scoring for the Bobcats.
Gabryella Hay pitched 6.0 innings giving up 8 hits.
Game Two – STU 7, FNU 2
The Bobcats started off the scoring off of two singles in the bottom of the 1st bringing it 2-0. The Bobcats would score five more in the 3rd, a three-run home run, one run by an error, and a double to left field.
Kyra Sunga & Gabryella Hay each respectively pitched 3.0 innings. G. Hay taking the loss and giving up 7 hits.
The Conquistador’s overall record moves to 26-13.
FNU will travel to Lakeland, Fla to face the Fire of Southeastern University on Tuesday, April 19.
