MARION, Ind. (May 25, 2023) – David Bellefleur put up a solid effort at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held May 24-26. The sophomore qualified for the men’s 800m race ranked 27th and was the lone Conquistador to make the trip to Marion, Ind.
With the prelims set for May 25 at 2:50 p.m., Bellefleur faced 11 mph winds and 60-degree weather. Unfortunately, Bellefleur did not make it past the opening race, landing in 17th place with a time of 1:54.82.
The top nine runners advanced to the finals the following day at 3 p.m. where junior Senzo Sokhela took home the title for Westmont College finishing the meet with a time of 1:48.78.
