MOBILE, Ala. (March 30, 2023) – Florida National University’s men’s tennis suffered a 4-2 loss to the Bleu Devils at the Southern States Athletic Conference’s Round-Up. This conference showdown took place at the Mobile Tennis Center in Alabama, and FNU failed to repeat their early week 4-3 win over the Warner University Royals in Hialeah, Fla.
In the doubles play, FNU partners Luigi Stefanacci and David De Ayguavives won their doubles match 7-6 versus Dillard’s Pablo Martin and Jesus Rodriguez. After two losses in the doubles play, FNU fell short of the mark in the singles portion of the competition. Notably, Jerry Makela won his match 6-1, 6-2 and Umberto Particelli got a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
