HIALEAH, Fla.- Florida National’s men’s soccer team adds a new accolade to a stellar season thus far after landing the No. 14 spot in the NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches Poll released on October 5. FNU remains unbeaten this season with a 7-0-1 record. Their only draw came against St. Thomas University, which was ranked No. 4 at the time. The two teams battled it out under the Saturday-night lights of AutoNation Field in Miami Gardens, Florida, in a match littered with intrigue and drama. The 0-0 final, displayed the Conquistadors’ strength on both sides of the ball as they kept an undefeated Bobcats team scoreless through 90 minutes of play.
This ranking is the highest in FNU’s history in the NAIA and speaks to the level of play FNU has displayed midway through the season. The Conquistadors have scored 22 goals and posted four shutouts with much more soccer left to play.
