HIALEAH, Fla. (Sept. 18, 2023) – Florida National University’s Kristian Bodden is the Continental Athletic Conference’s (CAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, following the Conquistadors’ participation at the Keiser University Invitational.
The sophomore broke a 5K school record with a time of 16:27.8. With a stacked competition field of NAIA and NCAA DII schools, Bodden managed to crack the top 25, finishing in 23rd place. The Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish ended the meet on top with a team score of 38, while FNU landed seventh out of nine teams.
The CAC’s release said, “Kristian Bodden broke the 5-kilometer school record with a time of 16:27.8 at the Keiser University Invitational last Friday. He was the Conquistadors’ top performer in the meet, placing 23rd in the competitive field.”
Bodden and Florida National face a quick turnaround, as both the men’s and women’s teams are slated to race at St. Thomas University on Sept. 23, starting at 7:30 a.m.
