HIALEAH, Fla. (Oct. 16, 2023) – Florida National University’s Christina Adams was named the Continental Athletic Conference’s (CAC) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week following FNU’s stay at the Sunshine State Conference Preview. The SSC Preview meet in Lakeland, Fla., was packed with NCAA DI and DII talent and some of the best teams in the NAIA’s Sun Conference.
Adams posted the second-best 6K time in Florida National’s history, behind her record-setting performance the previous week at the Ave Maria University Invitational.
According to the CAC release, “Adams, the Women’s Runner of the Week, ran the second fastest 6-kilometer race in program history with a 25:54.2 time that placed 27th at last Friday’s Sunshine State Conference Preview.”
Florida National and Adams are back on the course in two weeks for the CAC Championship on Nov. 3 in Lawrence, Kansas.
