HIALEAH, Fla. (Sept. 5, 2023) – Florida National University’s veteran forward Marcos Bakale was named the Continental Athletic Conference’s (CAC) Offensive Player of the Week following two stellar performances for the Conquistadors.
The Bata, Equatorial Guinea, native recorded three assists and a goal in Florida National’s last two outings. The Conquistadors defeated the Webber International University Warriors 4-0 at home and capped off the week with a masterful 4-2 win over the Gyrenes of Ave Maria University.
The CAC’s press release said, “Marcos Bakale scored one goal and provided assists on three other tallies in two matches last week for the No. 21-ranked Conquistadors. The forward found the back of the net and had two assists in the team’s win against Ave Maria University (Florida) last Saturday. The Bata, Equatorial Guinea, native also registered an assist in FNU’s 4-0 victory against Webber International University (Florida) last Thursday.”
