HIALEAH, Fla. (May 10, 2023) – Florida National University’s softball team had two seniors make the Continental Athletic Conference’s (CAC) short list of All-Tournament Team honorees. Megen Johnson and Dakota Kulis played solid games despite FNU’s 0-2 record at this CAC postseason showdown in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Kulis pitched the entire opening game versus the Crowley’s Ridge College Pioneers allowing one walk and recording one strikeout. The Chicago native closed out the Conquistadors’ elimination game against USC Beaufort the following day with four solid innings of work. The Sand Sharks got off just one run in their 7-1 victory with Kulis in the circle.
Johnson racked up seven putouts in her two starts at shortstop for the Conquistadors. The senior owned both FNU RBIs for the tournament and had one hit in each contest.
