WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 3, 2023) – Florida National University’s men’s tennis team delivered a thrilling 4-3 win over the NCAA DII Palm Beach Atlantic University Sailfish Friday. The Conquistadors needed a solid win after dropping its first three matches of the 2023 season and denied PBA its first win at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center this season.
In doubles play, FNU secured its first doubles point after Conquistador duo Luigi Stefanacci and David De Ayguavives and Umberto Particelli and Guido Gentile won their respective matches 6-4. In singles play, Jules Grignon completed a solid and dominant win over Blake Williams 6-2, 6-4. Particelli got FNU’s second singles point after winning his competitive match 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 [5]). The win was secured as Gentile won his match 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.
