TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. (Nov. 11, 2022) – Florida National returned to action with a loaded three-game schedule on day one of the Continental Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship. The Conquistadors went 2-1 in pool play, falling to Florida College 0-3, bouncing back for a much-needed win against Haskell University 3-1, and ending the night with another victory this time over Fisher College 3-1.

Set One
- Five attack errors for FNU helped propel the Falcons to a 25-21 victory
- Two kills for Joanne Dania and Layla Cortez apiece in the set
- A kill by Krista Trimble ended the set in favor of the Falcons

- FNU’s first set woes traveled into the second as multiple service eros gave Florida College a 15-9 advantage

- A service error from Ivette Sandoval ended the opening set in the Falcons’ favor

- The Conquistadors held a 16-11 lead midway through the set but were unable to stop a roaring Florida College comeback
- Joane Dania and Layla Cortez put up three kills each in this set but the Falcons well run offense was too much to handle
- An attack error by Layla Cortez solidified the Falcons’ win
