HIALEAH, FL – The Florida National University women’s volleyball team suffered a hard fought 3-2 loss playing at home, as the Conquistadors lost to Edward Waters College (25-19, 23-25, 15-25, 25-19, and 12-15).

- Maricielo Redhead Zuluaga added impressive 14 kills and 1 block solo on the game.

- Carolina Arrias Dantas and Gabriela Hernandez recorded 20 and 25 assists respectively.
- Lina Valentino also killed 16-of-27 total attacks recording an impressive .519 % in kills’ percentage.

KEY MOMENT
Trailing 1-0 in the match, the Conquistadors led 16-7 in the second set, but Nerealice Quirindongo sparked a seven-point run for the conquistadors with a kill. The seven points came on the serve of Katarina Ribar, to give the confidence back to the Lions. Edward Waters College won the second set 25-23 and came back intense to win the third set 25-15.
