HIALEAH, FL – Tonight, January 23rd, 2018, Mayor Smith Joseph, the City of North Miami Government and the North Miami Council will be honoring FNU President/CEO Dr. Maria Cristina Regueiro, Florida National University and its Powerhouse Steering Committee for their work on eradicating human trafficking from our global community.
Florida National University’s Powerhouse is a group of over 80 illustrious community leaders from different walks of life all committed to one common goal: creating justice and advocating for change. FNU hosts 3 major events a year: The Human Trafficking Walk, The Many Faces of Domestic and Teen Dating Violence and The Missing Children Rally.
On Thursday, January 25th, 2018 at 10AM, FNU, the FNU Powerhouse and the Dr. Jose Regueiro Foundation are hosting their Third Annual Human Trafficking Walk. The event will take place outside the FNU Hialeah Campus at 4425 W 20th Ave Hialeah, FL 33012.
