Florida National University’s Physical Therapist Program welcomes Miami native, Michael Gubieda.
Miami, FL – August 19, 2015
Florida National University (FNU) is proud to welcome Mr. Michael Gubieda to its Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program as the new Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE). Mr. Gubieda was born and raised in Miami which makes him a bona-fide native Miamian. His parents are from Cuba, and he is very proud of his heritage.
Michael attended Belen Jesuit Prep for high school. Following high school, Michael attended both Florida International University and Keiser University where he earned his PTA and Bachelor degrees.
Mr. Gubieda has worked in outpatient physical therapy settings and has experience with sports rehab, including working with professional and semi-professional athletes. He continues to work for Mercy Hospital as a per diem PTA in both inpatient and acute care settings.
Michael enjoys being active in the community and most recently was involved in a project with FIU promoting a fitness/balance exercise program for the elderly population. Mr. Gubieda enjoys attending school functions and looks forward to being a part of the FNU family.
“I am extremely happy to have Mr. Michael Gubieda join the FNU team as his experience in working with a wide range of patients, from athletes to patients in the hospital, will provide valuable insight for the students in the University’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program,” said Dr. Kelly Krenkel, the program’s director.
Florida National University’s Physical Therapist Assistant program is a full-time day-time program offered at the Hialeah Campus and is designed to be completed in less than 2 years. The program accepts up to 30 students through a selective admissions process that occurs annually on August 1st. For information about the University’s PTA program, please click here.
