HIALEAH, Fla. (May 6, 2024) – Florida National University’s baseball team (21-28) had two exceptional players named to the 2024 Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Baseball All-Tournament Team. The Conquistadors suffered a quick exit from the tournament, falling 27-1 to eventual conference champs Georgia Gwinnett College and were eliminated by Fisher College with a 12-1 loss on May 5.
FNU’s Adrian Roman and Jordan Lewis were the two Conquistadors to land coveted spots on this year’s 10-man team. Roman was 1-for-1 from the batter’s box in FNU’s loss to GGC, nabbing an RBI double. In the same contest, Lewis went 2-for-4 and ended his tournament run with a hit versus the Falcons.
Catcher Jeremy De La Cruz was also honored as FNU’s Champion of Character.
