Chris Miranda signed his letter of intent to play basketball for the Conquistadors of Florida National University (FNU) on Monday, August 5th.
“I’m looking forward in seeing his growth throughout the season. I have seen him play several times and each time he has improved his body, footwork and skillset,” said Schmidt, the FNU Conquistadors Head Coach.
Miranda, who attended and played basketball for Miami Springs Senior High stands at 6’7’’ and will be playing center this year for FNU.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity, and I can’t wait for the season to get underway,” said Miranda.
Miranda marks the first Hialeah native that FNU has signed.
“It’s always big to have local talent on your team. Chris will represent his city in a powerful way being the first Hialeah native on the first Hialeah based college athletic program here at FNU,” said Schmidt.
